1.What impacts of Quran on Arabic literature can you sought out in this book. Think of the beginning/ start of the book? The Qur'an has been the ultimate source recognized
command for muslims and which has great impact on the Aracbic literature . Basically this book is saying words are put down in remembrance of thier remarkable events for those who came after to read and know about , through beauty of arabic writing.

2. How is Islam influenced by this text. Give 3 instances/moments where this happens.

1. O my children,the ways of Allah are beyond human understanding

3. Why is Fatimah crying? What ill-fate is the narrator talking about?If Buran was rejected by her own blood she cried thinking what man would want her and her mother said if Allah could find one for me then Insha Allah , Allah will provide one for you. which man were perfect for them because of their status like cheap, a burden and etc.
4. Burhan is talking to herself, after having a short conversation with her father. She says, " It wouldn't have been a mistake three hundred years before, or two hundred years before, or even hundred years before". What is she referring to here? What was the short conversation father and daughter had? She is saying times had changed and by her trying to get her father to send her to set up a shop so her family could stop suffering and live the life they should have.

(P.35) What of Burhan is revealed here?That Burhan is shopping and the stall keeper say she had an educated eye meaning selecting clothes for herslef which she tells the keeper its for her brother , it reavles that she has good intentions for things just as trading gender.
3. Who is Gindar? Gindar is the cheif basically the taxi driver for Buran long journey.
4. “ A man on my caravan will tell you as much about himself as he wants you to know.” Pg.45 What does this foreshadow? You are here for a reason not to be heart felted , just business and dont share any information you wouldnt want out in the open.
5. Coming of Age: Read the first full paragraph on p. 40 ( A bend in the suq…..) and explain how this paragraphs shows coming of age? This is comming of age because Buran is walking by the Nizamiyya college and rembering the golden age and what her city and life really meant to her and her experience.
A coming-of-age story or novel is memorable because the character undergoes adventures and/or inner turmoil in his/her growth and development as a human being. Some characters come to grips with the reality of cruelty in the world--with war, violence, death, racism, and hatred--while others deal with family, friends, or community issues. 6. “It would be better to attempt to cross the desert by myself and die on the journey, my bones picked clean by vultures and left to bleach in the sun then go back home.” Why is Nasir saying this pg.48? Nasir is saying that anything would be better than to bring back my cowadice back to my father's house and had already failed, he would once more talk to the Gindarbefore he under goes this long journey alone.
